Building Safer, Smarter, and More Compliant Fleets
At 342 Enterprises, we believe effective training is one of the most important investments a motor carrier can make. In the commercial transportation industry, safety, regulatory compliance, and operational performance are closely connected, and well-trained drivers play a critical role in maintaining all three.
Our training programs are designed to help drivers and fleet personnel better understand the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR), improve safety awareness, and reduce violations that can negatively impact fleet operations.
Training is led by a retired North Carolina State Highway Patrol Master Trooper with more than 27 years of commercial motor vehicle enforcement and crash investigation experience.
All courses are delivered by professionals with extensive hands-on background in commercial vehicle enforcement, DOT compliance, and transportation safety.
Training Certificates Provided Upon Successful Completion.
Our training programs are designed to provide practical, real-world guidance that drivers and fleet managers can immediately apply in their daily operations. By combining regulatory knowledge with enforcement experience, 342 Enterprises helps fleets strengthen safety performance, reduce violations, and maintain compliance with federal transportation regulations.
This course focuses on strengthening safe driving habits, improving decision-making skills, and reinforcing professional driving standards for commercial motor vehicle operators.
This introductory course helps motor carriers meet the training requirements outlined in 49 CFR hazardous materials regulations. Drivers learn the basic responsibilities involved in transporting hazardous materials safely and in compliance with federal requirements.
Drivers learn how to excessive speed affects vehicle control, crash severity, and regulatory compliance. The course also explains how speeding violations influence CVS scores, insurance risk, and fleet safety ratings.
Drivers gain a clear understanding of the DOT roadside inspection process, including required documentation, common inspection procedures, and professional interaction with enforcement officers.
This course provides drivers and fleet personnel with a practical understanding of the FMCSA Hours-of-Service regulations (49 CFR Part 395) and the proper use of electronic logging devices (ELDs).
Drivers learn how enforcement officers review logbooks during roadside inspections, common violations that lead to citations, and best practices for maintaining accurate records of duty status. The course also explains how Hours-of-Service violations affect CSA scores, compliance reviews, and fleet safety performance.
Proper vehicle inspections are one of the most effective ways to prevent roadside violations and mechanical failures. This course teaches drivers how to identify potential defects and understand their responsibilities under FMCSR inspection requirements.
Proper cargo securement is essential for preventing load shifts, roadway hazards, and serious crashes. This course reviews driver responsibilities under 49 CFR Part 393 cargo securement regulations, common violations discovered during roadside inspections, and practical techniques drivers can use to ensure loads remain secure during transport.
Drivers will also learn how enforcement officers evaluate load securement during inspections and how violations can lead to citations, out-of-service orders, and liability exposure following a crash.
This course prepares drivers to respond professionally and responsibly following a commercial motor vehicle crash. Drivers learn the proper steps to take immediately after an incident, including scene safety, required notifications, documentation, and post-accident drug and alcohol testing requirements under 49 CFR Part 382.303.
The training also emphasizes how proper driver actions following a crash can help protect both the driver and the motor carrier during investigations and potential legal proceedings.
No two fleets operate exactly the same. For this reason, 342 Enterprises offers customized training programs tailored to the operational needs of each client.
Training programs can be adapted based on:
Fleet size and operational structure
Industry segment (HazMat carriers, construction fleets, waste & recycling operations, regional carriers)
Company safety policies and compliance goals
Equipment types and cargo operations
Training sessions can be delivered in person or virtually, with follow-up evaluations available to help measure effectiveness and reinforce long-term safety performance.
